NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS 2026 IIJL COMMONWEALTH CUP

Australia (Australian Box Lacrosse) , New Zealand and Canada (Canadian Lacrosse League) will compete for the 2026 IIJL Commonwealth Cup. Prior to facing-off for the winner-take-all Final. 

Canada will take part in a four (4) team Round-Robin against New Zealand and two local teams made up from Adelaide, Melbourne, and Perth.

Australian Box Lacrosse will field two local teams competing, selecting the best players to represent Australia in the 2026 IIJL Commonwealth Cup Final, further narrowing down the roster for the 2026 IIJL World Junior Lacrosse Championship in Canada.

ABOUT

Established in 2019, the inaugural IIJL Commonwealth Cup was scheduled to take place in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia in March 2020 but was cancelled due to the COVID-19 global pandemic. Three years later, the 2023 IIJL Commonwealth Cup took place. For the fourth consecutive year the IIJL Commonwealth Cup will take place, February 27 - March 2, 2026 and will be hosted by VicBoxLax at the beautiful Allan Lewer Box Court.
