Team Manager announced for Australia at the 2025 WJLC

We are pleased to welcome Chris Deshon as the 2025 Team Manager for the Australian Junior Box Lacrosse Team.

Chris Deshon is a proud parent of twin boys who share a deep passion for lacrosse. From a young age, both boys demonstrated talent and enthusiasm for the sport, inspiring Chris to become more actively involved in their athletic journey. Since 2022, Chris has served as the team manager for the Australian Junior Box Lacrosse team, a role in which he has shown unwavering dedication and leadership.

In his position, Chris has been responsible for coordinating all aspects of team logistics, including arranging travel, accommodations, and transportation for tournaments. He manages equipment and ensures the team has everything they need to perform at their best. Additionally, he works closely with coaches and players to facilitate smooth operations during training and competitions.

Beyond logistical support, Chris is a staunch supporter of player well-being. He advocates for the team’s health, morale, and cohesion, fostering a positive and encouraging environment. His leadership has been instrumental in helping the team focus on their performance, teamwork, and sportsmanship, especially during high-pressure events.

A significant highlight of his tenure was serving as team manager during the 2023-2025 IIJL Commonwealth Cup, where his contributions greatly supported the team’s preparation and performance on the international stage. His hands-on approach and dedication proved vital in ensuring the players represented Australia with pride and excellence.

Through his tireless efforts, Chris has helped create a memorable and supportive environment for his sons and their teammates—one that promotes growth, sportsmanship, and a lifelong love for lacrosse.
